The Knox County Trustee manages a professional business office that collects and accounts for over $1 billion annually in State, Federal, and local funds used to operate the Knox County Government. The Trustee also manages the investment of temporarily idle funds and supervises the cash flow for Knox County Government.

As a seasoned veteran of the Trustee’s Office, I have built my career from the ground up, gaining experience at every level of the office operations. Since taking office in 2022, I have used my experience to build a more efficient, accessible, and proactive Trustee’s Office. My leadership has focused on expanding services, improving operations, and advocating for policies that directly benefit Knox County taxpayers.
As Trustee of Knox County, my focused direction has been to grow the Disabled Veterans Benefits, Elderly Tax Freeze, and Elderly and Disabled Tax Relief programs exponentially. Beyond administering these programs, I have actively worked to strengthen them at the policy level—advocating for legislation to increase the Elderly Tax Freeze threshold to $60,000 and to raise the property tax relief amount for disabled veterans. These efforts reflect my commitment to ensuring the programs keep pace with rising costs and continue to serve those who need them most.
I also modernized service delivery by launching the Mobile Operations Program, expanding the office’s reach to seniors, residents with health complications, and those with mobility limitations. With this mobile program it has truly brought government to the people. Through this initiative, the Trustee’s Office processes tax payments and enrolls eligible residents in Tax Freeze and Relief programs outside of the main office, improving access and efficiency.
Operationally, The offices financial performance has been strengthened by overseeing record breaking tax sales in years 2023 through 2025, restoring blighted properties for increased tax revenue. With projections pointing to continued growth in 2026. These results demonstrate my dedication to effective management and my commitment to ensuring Knox County receives the resources it needs by focusing on maximizing revenue collection for Knox County.
Beyond enhancing our core functions, I have expanded the Trustee’s Office’s role in driving economic development. By bringing the C-PACER program to Knox County, I positioned the office as a vital partner in attracting private investment for clean energy and resiliency projects. This forward-thinking initiative is poised to boost county tax revenues and foster meaningful job creation.
When I first began my career in the Trustee's Office, I envisioned the kind of leader that Knox County needed. I believed in the potential this role could have and the impact on the citizens of Knox County. I have never lost sight of that vision. Today I am proud to serve as your Trustee, and to continue working hard towards that goal every single day.
